FRAME OF VIEW

A large outdoor pavilion organized around a large interior volume. A narrow vertical entry expands into an elevated panoramic chamber.

SUSPENDED ISOLATION

An exploration of describing a simple form through its absence. The project defines a curved volume by suspending a network of chords tangent to its outer surface, allowing the geometry to emerge through accumulated lines rather than solid mass.

Although realized only as a scale model, the work would not have been possible without the assistance of Ryan Welch.

BRACKET CHAIR

The break formed aluminum chair is constructed from four water-jet–cut panels of 3003 aluminum, an alloy chosen for its superior bendability. Each component is precision-formed on an industrial press brake to create the chair’s continuous, faceted geometry

POINT OF CONTACT

A cast iron form and electric current combine to create a powerful electromagnet. Suspended above its magnetic base, the upper form is free to wobble and rotate, yet remains held in place
